Reality and Uncertainty

Have you ever stood facing the winds of uncertainty, or felt lost inside, adrift on uncharted waters, and reached the point where in surrendering the need for complete control, asked the universe to just “show me a sign!”? Maybe you were kneeling in prayer, closing the eyes to search deep within, or perhaps throwing your hands up and screaming at the sky. It might have been at a moment in the calm before the storm, in the storm, in the throws of adventure, at the decision point on whether or not the adventure is even gonna happen; major opportunity, spontaneous opportunity… It could be when you finally see that person you have needed to have a potentially uncomfortable conversation with for as long as you have been putting it off; and in doing so, it removes the barriers keeping your reserved, good relationship from being an awesome, open and authentic one. It could be a stranger just as well as with someone you are incredibly close with, creating a moment of vulnerability, giving tough love, standing up for yourself, realizing you’re in a rut and need a new direction…

It could be anything, everything, major and minor. The fact is, to be alive is to be faced with many crossroads and decisions, some of which have some substantial “price tags” attached to them. We may be able to respond and operate like a veteran general or like a teenager in puberty, but if we are actively engaged in the people and circumstances surrounding us, life brings us to places of uncertainty where we are compelled to connect with the infinite for guidance.

Well… it’s listening, and not only listening, but responding to us, adapting and creating the reality we design out of our perceptions. It speaks to us through subtle cues, gut instincts and sets our internal compass that we use as our guide to navigate our actions, interactions, reactions and thoughts. It sends a barrage of signs, coincidences and “I KNEW IT!” moments. Funny thing is, our mind is so efficient at pattern recognition, ANYTHING can seem to be a sign. The entirety of what we know to be in our relative existence is watching, holding it’s breath and waiting for us to just make a move. It’s dying to get to work building the reality you design, but only can work on your demand! Your intent is your demand…

Take everything you know about reality… and put it on hold for a minute

All that we know to be in existence, everything we have ever seen, is created from fundamental units, no? Every solid, liquid and gas that composes the entirety of what we know to exist is no more than a composition of one or more of the 118 elements found on the periodic table, this has been well proven and verified countless times without opposition, and has stood the test of time for well over 2,000 years. In the 1930’s we discovered that the atoms that build our reality can be further broken down, and that the vast majority of these materials are made from even smaller, more fundamental units, protons, neutrons and electrons; but wait… it goes much deeper. These units are built from unimaginably microscopic particles called quarks that are in the realm of a billionth of a billionth of a meter wide; & deeper still, these quarks are materialized from vibrations of energy. That’s right… what you are staring at, right now, if you zoomed in to the magnification of 16 to the negative thirty-fifth power, your tangible, hard screen in your hands, hell, your hands for that matter, would be nothing more than energy, manifested by its vibration. This is the premise to string theory, that matter, the fabric of reality, is pure energy.

Now I realize that this concept is both a wild and bold diversion from classical theory, but my minute of having you put everything you know about reality on hold isn’t over, not by a long shot.

The sub-atomic realm is one of fantastic mystery, one that defies our logic and taunts our most brilliant minds. First off, it is nothing short of paradigm shifting to digest the fact that the materials that build all of the substance in our human experience is just energy expressed through vibration, but that the very tapestry of these woven strings is reactive, and adapts itself to the slightest influence.

In the late 1970’s, while studying light, we discovered how to split a beam, all the way down to individual units of light, photons. We started studying them, shooting them individually through instruments, discovered they had behaviors, and then observed patterns of those behaviors. We saw that these photons destinations, while being shot across the room onto the wall individually, end up creating “ripples”, showing an interfere pattern, as the result of them bouncing off some phantom photons, as if we had shot the whole beam of light. Just when we thought we were really perplexed, we discovered that upon direct observation, the ripple patterns disappeared, giving us the result we originally expected when we first started shooting off the little boogers! (I’m aware that this may sound like a bunch of hocus pokus mumbo-jumbo, but for a much more thorough review of these findings, I invite you to look up or google “the double-slit experiment”, as well as “sum over paths theory”. Question and fact check everything you ever find interesting, everything I present, and anything anyone “tells” you).

What we learned, was that the ripples of these photons were a result of them interfering with themselves, as simultaneously the single photon traversed every possible path to its destination, but chose only one endpoint, as if it behaved the way we originally assumed. Equally mind boggling, we discovered that just the simple influence of our direct observation predictably altered the behavior as well as destination patterns of these photons. When watched, the ripple patterns disappeared, indicating that they were no longer interfering with themselves, they instead behaved as we expect, forgetting altogether about their wave particle duality. Then we discovered that not only photons of light, but electrons, atoms and some molecules behave the exact same way…

Simply put, the fabric of reality, the building blocks of our “physical world” are not what they seem to be in our everyday experience. They can be anything, anywhere, but choose to be what and where they are, and are waiting to be influenced, perhaps by our influence.

This truth is beyond the realm of purely science and modern technology, these words were being uttered over 4,000 years ago, when self mastery was the cutting edge of technology.
The Principle of Vibration embodies the axiom that everything is in motion and vibration, the “differences” between the various forms of manifestation are due entirely to the varying rate and mode of vibrations. “THE ALL” manifests a constant vibration of such an infinite degree of intensity and speed, it may practically be considered at rest. Everything that exists falls on this spectrum of vibration, with gross matter and spirit form setting apart the two poles, and millions upon millions of varying degrees in between. “He who understands the Principle of Vibration, has grasped the scepter of power”. By mastering self knowledge and discipline, one is able to polarize their mind as they wish, gaining controll over their mental senses and moods; in doing so, one produces on the mental plane that which science produces on the physical plane- vibrations at will.

In 450 B.C., Lao Tzu, sought to impart the ancient teachings in the East, and wrote the Tao De Ching, dedicated to sharing of truths of consciousness and lessons of self mastery, in poem form. In the 6th poem, he speaks of THE ALL as the Tao:

The Tao is called the Great Mother:
empty yet inexhaustible,
it gives birth to infinite worlds.

It is always present within you.
You can use it any way you want.

Another famous guy once said, “Verily, verily, I say unto you. He that believe that on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my father”. John 14:2

YOU are the MASTER of your fate, and the CAPTAIN of your soul

Open yourself up to what comes your way, follow your heart and trust yourself, that whatever obstacles are in between what’s going on right now, and wherever your heart wants to take you, you have the ability of creating the path by committing to going the distance. When we’re staring into the waters of uncertainty, stepping foreword could mean getting our toes wet or plunging headlong, deep into the unknown… remaining present, therefore, being out of the controll of emotion, fear and judgment, is how to swim in these waters. It’s natural for us to want to “stay dry”, to kick the can down the road, and avoid stepping outside of comfort and control with opportunities that carry weight; but just like everything else, our life is in constant motion, like the river. Externals are never under our control, but avoiding action, internally or externally, doesn’t make the crossroads and tough decisions go away, it just sweeps us by them, robbing us of all the power to have a say over our life.

Taking the plunge into the unknown, being the person your heart is screaming at you to be can be scary & awkward; it requires skin in the game, investment, emotionally & physically, time, the possibility of being different, being judged; taking on any one of these things requires courage, because in doing so we are inherently assuming possible vulnerability, something the ego and our natural tendencies simply abhor. Trust in yourself, that you have whatever it takes, the ability to go whatever the distance, the power to intend and co-create your path, this is the ability to swim in these uncertain waters.

Life is screaming for us to get out of our box and live, and now you know… it has your back
